Muse falls somewhere between a pub and a wine bar with a sprinkling of café thrown in for good measure.

A large open plan room the bar sits bang in the middle and the rest of the place spreads out from this epicentre. The seating is an eclectic mix of tables and chairs which gives an upmarket lack of uniformity to everything. That said they haven't exactly crammed the seating in – there’s plenty of space between you and fellow drinkers but that also means that they fill up pretty quickly. Dark wood is the theme of the rest of the décor – wooden floor, wooden panelled bar etc which give it a slightly bohemian tinge without appearing seedy or grimy.

Giving the best of both worlds they have the usual selection of draught beers but also have a decent sized and acceptably stocked wine list – something for everyone.

Snacks are available from the bar during the day, consisting mainly of sharing plates – nachos and dips type things. The portions are pretty sizeable so when it says they're to share they really are.

Not poncey enough for a real wine bar and too trendy for a pub!
