Musée Animé du Jouet et des Petits Trains Colmar Reviews
For all the hype, I wasn't really that impressed! Sep 14, 2015
This is the one attraction save for the Unterlinden and Bartholdi museums that seems to constantly get associated with Colmar and in hindsight, I'm not really sure why. It's not by any means bad, but it's just meh.
The only good thing that came out of this attraction for me was realising the value of being Indian! When I was buying my ticket, they said they needed nationality for statistical purposes. When I said I'm Indian, I got a discount! (paid about 50% of the price, like 2 Euros).
Again, save for this, there wasn't really a whole lot to do: it was like a toy store with showcases of dolls, puppets, etc. There was a colourful carousel as well. The top floor is the toy train section, which again, was very average.
I'm not sure why this is touted as a top attraction when it's really middling at best. Thank God the entrance fee is cheap. I'd have killed myself had I paid anything more than 3 Euros for this when I could've gotten it for free at the toy section in Walmart!
