Murrells Inlet is a small town south of Myrtle Beach in Georgetown County. Part of the Low Country in South Carolina, Murrells Inlet is an historic fishing village. It has more than 30 restaurants where you can eat the freshest fish you've ever had. Local fish markets also sell the "catch of the day" and more. The peaceful waters of the inlet make for excellent fishing. The town is less than peaceful each May when the raucus and monsterously large motorcyle rally happens in Mrytle Beach each year. One restaurant catering to the cyclists is called Suck Bang Blow because that is the noise a Harley makes!

Their 4th of July Boat Parade is a favorite for locals and visitors alike. In 2000 the population was only 5,500 but with the recent explosive growth of neighboring Horry County, Murrells Inlet will be much bigger in the next census.
