My trip through (mostly) Western Europe!

One of my stops in many on my backpacking journey by myself.... What a blast!!!! I would recommend the Octoberfest to everyone.....

We got in at 7am on the overnight train from Milan. Walked around the city a bit in the morning, then took the local train out to Schliersee to meet my aunt who drove us around a bit and showed us some really stunning countryside in the German Alps around Tegernsee and Schliersee.

Once again in Munich, we were arriving late. We caught an overnight to Bruxelles and secured a cabin. When we slept on the train, we had it to ourselves everytime. We never had to share during the night. We had decided to sleep on trains instead of pricey hotel rooms most nights. We chose Bruxelles…

Munich is said to be the capital of Southern Germany. With a lot of monuments, museums and a town centre full of life (shopping, bars, restaurants, events…), it is the second most visited city in Germany, after Berlin. I only spent a day in Munich, and I regret not to have booked for longer. The…

My second trip to Europe, seven cities in two weeks -- Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne, Milan, Venice, Munich and Istanbul -- and friends and places to remember for a long, long time to come.

In 2005 I took a trip all over Europe. It was amazing. These are my stories!

great venue. i offered to sell my shirt in lieu of having any southerly shirts, and i think there may actually have been a taker if my german isn't too rusty.

My father, my Aunt Joann, and my grandparents lived near Munchen (Munich) as apart of the post World War II occupation. I had heard many things about it from my father and his recollections as a child. What would I find? I was unsure but, fantastically surprised. Munchen is rich with old and new, history and embracing the future. I found myself enjoying this city more than I ever expected.

me and my cousin went to Europe in the summer of 2006 on a tour and met some awesome people! ( germany and switzerland were probably my favorite!)
