We got in at 7am on the overnight train from Milan. Walked around the city a bit in the morning, then took the local train out to Schliersee to meet my aunt who drove us around a bit and showed us some really stunning countryside in the German Alps around Tegernsee and Schliersee.

Once again in Munich, we were arriving late. We caught an overnight to Bruxelles and secured a cabin. When we slept on the train, we had it to ourselves everytime. My father, my Aunt Joann, and my grandparents lived near Munchen (Munich) as apart of the post World War II occupation. I had heard many things about it from my father and his recollections as a child. What would I find? I was unsure but, fantastically surprised. Munchen is rich with old and new, history and embracing the future. I found myself enjoying this city more than I ever expected.
