After 8 hours flying we were looking forward to that waft of warm air synomous with arriving in a hot country. We got the hot air alright, but more prevelant was the distinct waft of sewerage. Hardly suprising really considering the airport is right next the slums. Infact wherever you go …

I've been to Mumbai several times and it continues to blow me away. The people are great, the hustle and bustle greater. Just keep away fom the Gateway of India - you won't get any peace. However Kolaba Causeway is the place to be for some downtown shopping, eating and drinking.
