I can not tell you how I got to Mt. Korobobo (sounds like Korombombo). The beginning of the trail was literally through some quarry/construction site. A Fijian friend took me here and I'm guessing you would need to ask a local how to get to the start of it - and you can do that by bus from the main bus terminal in Suva. This hike started in a kind of rainforest setting with small streams and lots of greenery. As we got further up, the trail became muddy and slick. I was completely unprepared and wearing sandals. There are some tough spots, where you have to climb up trees to get to the next part of the trail, but once you get to the top it is all worth it! Beautiful views of Suva and the ocean! The way down was pretty bad, I think I would have been better off barefoot! I fell down every few steps, trying to save my camera with one arm, while landing on my ass and sliding into trees. Injuries aside, it was a lot of fun. Just follow this one tip: wear shoes with good traction, but even then it still might be pretty slippery! I think it took about 2-3 hours total or less.
