Mr. Smiths Reviews

Dec 29, 2005

Mr. Smith's is a piano bar in Georgetown.  In the back, they have a garden decorated restaurant.  The food is so-so, but the atmosphere is great.  It advertises itself as "The Friendliest Place in Town" and they're not kidding.

If you don't mind a bit of a smokey, dark atmosphere, I highly recommend this place to go hang out and have a few drinks in the evening.  From wednesday to saturday nights, they have a pair of great musicians (can't remember their names, but they're REALLY friendly and nice) who encourage everyone to sing along.  The pianist almost has a Louis Armstrong rasp in his voice - could be from the second hand smoke.

Every night, there's someone playing the piano while working adults lounge at the bar.  It gets REALLY crowded on Friday and Saturday nights, so go any other night for the best experience.
