The night time cry of the Hyena and the crackle of a Campfire Sep 17, 2001
Have you ever heard a hyena cry at night? Well if not, then this is the route you want to choose when you travel to South Africa. This is the game reserve route, gets you to Mpumalanga and Kruger national reserves. This is the route of Africa's Big Five.

You will see all kinds of game, from lions to antelopes darting across the plains. Buffaloes, elephants, leopards and camp fires in the night. You will encounter other safari vehicles, the rangers and their drivers. This route takes you through the legend of warring African tribes in the mountains and fortresses built at high altitudes. The history of the creator of King Solomon's Mines Rider Haggard.

The escarpment and lowveld route takes you through the flowing grasslands of this region. The grasslands stretch north and east of the Highveld plateau, rising towards the towering Drakensberg mountain rang, quite a sight to behold. Nature at it's wildest yet so beautiful. Nature as wild as was always meant to be.

Along this route also:

*Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve

*Bird watching

PS: “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain
