This place was just beautiful, but I have a feeling that it is only open seasonally. We stayed in adjoining rooms, the kids had their own and they were spoiled. The staff were very very friendly and went out of their way to help us unlike most Western hotels who frown on kids all too easily! The views from this hotel are spectacular and is much nicer than being in town at the gates of Petra where the tourists just throng. If you want to get away from all that, this is it. It looks down into the Great Rift valley and the sunsets are to die for; great food, great heated indoor swimming pool with views from the windows. Very quiet when we were there which is what you want to be able to enjo the surroundings and a great way to relax after trudging through Petra. The rooms were a very good size, like most hotel rooms in the Middle East. Jordan is just a beautiful country with beautiful people so this hotel comes as no surprise, sure, it's a little pricey for a family, but hey, if you can afford to get to Jordan, you can afford to go the extra mile, it'll be worth it!
