The Tatry Mountain Range in Southern Poland. The culture is amazing just walking down the main street in the town, Zakopane. Many trails in the back country to explore the mountains and rivers. There is also this mountain side that many people like to hangout and tan that has a great view of the valley below.

…bad email from the tour company that I had booked a trip with to go down to Biakla Tatranska, which is in the Carpathian Mountains to do some snowboarding. They said, due to the lack of snow on the mountains, the trip has been cancelled. But we find out the hostel we're staying at (Good Bye Lenin- a nice friendly hostel that helped us out tons… Snowboarding, come hell or... global warming! |

The water is so clear and is surrounded by the high peaks of the Tatra mountains. Truly an amazing setting. Close to the lake are plenty of places to have a drink or something to eat. I must say I had never been in the mountains before. That is, I've been in some low mountains in Thailand and I've been trekking through the Sierra Nevada in Spain, but those aren't real 2000 meter high snowy mountains. So this was a scoop. If you don’t have anything better to do - visit Polish mountains in the autumn. :o) The colours and views are just picturesque. The atmosphere idyllic and restful.
