Before catching the bus to Oamaru, I took a walk up to the Red Tarns,
half way up Mount Sebastapol. The walk starts off from the Public
Shelter building.Pretty much steps all the way up, takes about an hour - maybe with a few stops to catch your breath and admire the views!

After a very early start on the boat we headed for Mt Cook which meant anorther 6 hour drive back along the road we came down only the previous day, passed Queenstown and on to Mt Cook. Its a good job I came for the stunning scenery. There really is nothing else ! Check out the photo…
