Motel L Stockholm Reviews
Modern, affordable, clean and stylish Sep 14, 2014
This hotel is pretty new - I think is was completed in 2013, and modern Scandinavian in style. Like Ikea, but more chic. The lobby is huge, with loads of funky seating and chill-out music playing. The breakfast room at the far end has a substantial breakfast buffet with cold cuts, breads and buns, cereals, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, and a machine for espresso, cappuccino, etc.
The rooms have high ceilings, big flat-screen tvs, and accents of orange everywhere. Comfy beds, and a nice bathroom with a huge rain-shower shower head. No fridge in the room, but there's a supermarket on the same block as the hotel and it's open most nights until 10pm or so. View isn't much - there is a lot of construction going on the area (Hammarby), and the area is a bit outside of the center, but it was only about a 20 minute walk to the cafes and shops of Sodermalm, and another 10 minutes to the Gamla Stan. All in all, definitely recommended for the price.
