Motel 6 Maritime North Vallejo

Prior to making our summer vacation to the Napa valley a few years ago we made reservations on-line for our nightly stays. Motel 6 in most cases is a low-end but satisfactory chain and is usually sufficient for a one-night stay where you are just using the room to sleep over and then move on. Certainly nothing fancy or special. But it turned out that this location had contracted with the local county government to house homeless or extremely low income clients in at least a major section of their establishment. This was a typical two story motel with outside corridors and stairs and about 80 to 100 rooms. That meant there were lots of little kids running around everywhere and the parking lot, at around 4pm was more of a playground. The other drawback was the number of fairly young women who were attempting to find temporary work, while laying down on the job. We cancelled our reservation and found another place to stay the night. Highly NOT recommended.
Tip: If you call to set reservations, which I suggest, when using lower cost motel and hotel accomodation, ask if they contract any part of their facility with the county.
