With Ryanair tickets to Malta only £40 I decided to go to Malta with A for a long weekend. Perfect timing considering winter had just descended on the UK and Malta was still enjoying the end of the Mediterranean summer.

I spent two weeks in the beautiful resort of Qawra and loved every minute of my time in Malta. Some people have told me they didn't fancy it cos it was too small but I really LOVED it in Malta and wouldn't mind going back sometime. And it was the first time I'd ever been on a plane too, so I was quite nervous before and after. But I still enjoyed it.

Words and photos are not sufficient enough to describe all that has happened. In this blog I will summarize in brief some of the things that I've experienced, learned, seen.. Welcome and I hope you enjoy this small "couch trip" around Malta!

We visited the Dome. All the walls were covered with red cloth. Very colourful. n WW II the dome was hit by a bomb. They display a replica of the bomb in the Dome.

This past spring my boyfriend and I went to Malta. We are thinking about moving there next year! He is Maltese though born and raised in Canada. He has been to Malta a couple of times but this was my first trip. Needless to say, I absolutely fell in love with Malta. We were only there for 2 week, but it was amazing. I loved everything about it. The history, the weather, the people etc. Can't wait to go back again. Here are some photos of our trip.We took so many, but here is a taste :o)

My biggest travel tip for Malta is to NEVER get a taxi, buses are not only reliable but 4000% cheaper! For example a bus from the airport cost 1.16 Euro a taxi 30Euro for an 8km journey??!
