Morrison is a small town located in Jefferson County, Colorado, west of Denver, in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.
It is perhaps most famous for the nearby Red Rocks Amphitheater, and for Dinosaur Ridge, a rocky ridge where dinosaur footprints, bones and fossils of prehistoric insects and plants are etched by nature into the rock walls.

Since it was still early in the evening and not completely dark, John and Jeanne decided to drive us out to Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater. We drove around the scenic drive to marvel at the unique rock formations. We ended up stopping at some satellite parking lot in the park and hiked about not knowing where the path would lead us. What a great park and live music venue too! I would definitely love to return here to watch my favorite bands rock the night away!
