Morrison-Clark Hotel

When we went to DC we stayed at the Morrison-Clark Hotel. This hotel is owned by the Henley Hotel, just across the street from it.

According to the Hotel Webpage 2 leading families, in 1864, built their home off Massachusetts Avenue, near Mount Vernon Square. One hundred and fifty years later their homes became the Historic Morrison-Clark Hotel and Restaurant.

The staff at the hotel was beyond nice, they were phenomenal. If we had an issue they got it taken care of immediately and made sure our comfort was at their utmost importance! The bed was comfortable and made me feel well rested after our long day of walking around DC.

There were some downfalls. One was that since the hotel is a historic home the rooms are smaller than what I expected. Also, the restaurant hours were not open times that I wanted to eat...like breakfast after 10AM. And I had to check in by 11PM otherwise my reservation was forfeited...and since I don't like to drive during the day I like to check in between midnight and 1AM so I had to rush myself.

But I would recommend this hotel for anybody going to the DC area! It's also in a good location to drive outside of the city without getting stuck in the traffic of the town since it was on the outskirts of downtown but still within walking distance of all the attractions DC had to offer!
