Me and my wife took a 3 week trip to Morocco to visit her family there.They lived in the capital city of Rabat.We took a 3 day side trip to Marrakech which is a 4 hour scenic train ride from Rabat.

I took a day trip from Tarifa, Spain to Tangier, Morocco. It's only about an hour and a half across the straits of Gibraltar. It was my first time on African soil and what a day it was! It was just a taste leaving me hungry for more.

My Europe and Africa trip to London, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, Marrakech, Fez, Sahara Desert, Milan, Florence, Venice, Pisa, Rome, Catania, Palermo, Athens and Rhodes Greek Island was AMMAAAAZZZZZZZZINNNNNNGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!

Had been to Morocco in my twenties and kept very good memories of my road travels along those mountain roads of the Atlas, all the way to Marrakech. This time I decided to take a cheap flight I found on offer on the internet. Still a fascinanting country, but it has lost some of its charm, specially in Marrakech and Essaouira of the old days...but I guess that has happened everywhere in te world. Have to content myself with the memories and old pictures of those past trips.

Again we started early, this time we were taking a bus excursion to Tangiers, Morocco. The bus took us past Gibraltar to the Spanish Port at the City of Tarifa, which is the southern most tip of Europe, then onto a fast ferry for a 30minute trip to Morocco.  A tour guide and a bus picked us up…
