We spent 6 nights in an over-water bungalow here and throughly enjoyed every moment. The view was spectacular, the staff was friendly, and the amenities were great. There is a dolphin enclosure for supervised dolphin encounters. I was a bit wary of it at first, being a marine biologist, but I was satisfied with the accomedations and the people seemed so happy. During the week, schoolchildren from the city would come in on field trips and their joy and fun was heart-warming. There is also a Sea Turtle Rehabilitation Center in the resort. The hotel staff wass helpful and efficient, if somewhat slow by American standards, but where else do you have to be when vacationing on a tropical island? All sorts of tours can be booked there, and they were worth it. The restaurants were very good and had a nice variety of foods, so everyone could find something they liked. We signed up for the American food plan, which included full, hot breakfast buffet and dinner (excluding ANY drinks, even water). A good way to go, as all food is expensive. I would recommend this resort to anyone, and recommend going ahead and splurging here if possible.
