Moo Moo Moscow Reviews

You will recognize Moo-Moo restaurant (Russian: МУ МУ) by its black-and-white Holstein-print decor and big cow-statue in front of. This is cafeteria-style service and is a good way to taste Russian food.
Our tour guide recommended this food change as good and inexpensive. The entire menu is self-service.
To compare: tee in Kitaj gorod is worth as reach soup in Moo Moo restaurant (69 R.ruble).
Address: ul. Arbat 45/24
Price Comparison: less expensive than average

Good food at low prices Feb 13, 2011
Moo Moo restaurants are pretty much everywhere, you can see 2 of them at the Old Arbat. The food is great, its a cafeteria type of food where you choose whatever you want and pay at the end of the line. The prices are very good for Moscow. Lunch for 2 of us plus the beer and drinks cost us around 800 Rubles (25USD) and we had several salads and soups and main dishes. I recommend this place to anyone who likes to eat and is on the budget.

There are a few branches of this place in Moscow. There's one on Arbat Ulitsa, near Smolenskaya metro.
There are many great things about this restaurant:
1) It's cheap. Compared with other places we went, you can get a lot of food for your money.
2) It's set up like a canteen. This means that you can walk along with a tray and point at things. And this means you don't have to know the Russian for "stew and dumpling", which is handy.
3) The decor is cow-themed, which adds to any meal.
OK. The food's not marvellous, but it is cheap so it balances out. We went there twice in a row. If you're trying to save money (and struggling with the language) it's a great option.
