We traveled to Montreal last week for a 5 day stay - the weather was good to us in that it didnt rain but you still needed a sweater & jacket!
To be honest bar meeting up with a friend l met on another travel forum l was a bit disappointed - maybe it was because the trees hadnt yet started to bud or get their leaves back but l thought there was little to do. The food was ok - nothing out of this world, shopping was bland and whilst there were some amazing buildings, Notre Damm Catherdal, and a visit to Parc Olympic and its biodome not much else (that we found!) Maybe we missed out on something???????? The metro system however is EXCELLENT! And it did not feel for a second that we were in North America which was refreshing - French is the first language spoken which l was aware of before we arrived but l dont think l realised that it was the FIRST language! Still it was another city that we have visited - we did have a nice time and l experienced the BEST customer service ever in a restaurant called the Keg for that alone Montreal was good! |
