Monteroza Ebina Reviews
Decent high tech restaurant May 18, 2015
Monteroza is a chain of restaurants that span across Japan numbering approximately 350. This one in particular is located off the Soutetsu line off the Sagamino station. It features private dining rooms and bars that have a comfortable and homey tavern feel to it. This restaurant, just like many other upscale restaurants in Japan respect privacy, so don't expect an intrusive wait staff. They will pretty much arrive when called upon through a service button on your table.
Menus are in iPad format and in a rather large physical graphic menu, so anyone can pretty much order if they are not fluent Japanese. They offer your traditional Japanese cuisines such as sukiyaki, and tempura. They also have a wide variety of finger foods such as yakitori and yakiniku as well as French fries and ginger snaps. The spirited and non spirited drink menus has much variety.
Portions aren't western sized so expect your main course to be served in multiple trips. I believe this is typical Japanese efficiency of reducing wasted food. Overall, I enjoy eating at Monteroza. This is a place where customers can relax, eat, drink and be merry in their own privacy. Will go again once I return to Japan.
