Perhaps living in Los Angeles for 9 years has spoiled me, but the Bay Area, although very beautiful is very cold and windy! There's a stretch of road that winds along the coast, giving you beautiful vistas of cliffsides with these amazing trees growing out of these huge rocks. Just to the East you …

After a good night sleep time to see the east coast line of California. Too soon to leave San Francisco after only one night, but we will come back for 3 days so we can see more of this impressive city. Soon we see the coast line, and, when it is only 9 degrees, also the first surfers! Most of us h…

beaches, shopping, and dining to be found here. It was very cold when
we were there but we still saw many surfers out in the strong waves.
Pacific Grove is even prettier with it's majestic cliffs and waves
crashin…

Saturday came and we were sad to leave San Francisco. It had been a fantastic four nights in a city that really lives up to the hype. But we had to move on and we were headed for Santa Cruz. We picked up our hire car from the Hyatt Regency, less of a hotel and more of a little village. We…
