Montanita Travel and Tourism Guide

Montañita is a small village on Ecuador's Pacific coast. It is known as one of the best surfing locales in the country.

The village is located about 180 kilometers northwest of Guayaquil. It is most easily accessible by car or bus, as it lies on Ecuador's "Ruta del Sol", an accessible highway spanning nearly the length of the coast.

This village is also known for its active nightlife. There are many bars to have a good time and since the town is relatively small, you walk everywhere. Get plenty of rest before going out because places are open very late.
