Montana Avenue Tucson Reviews
Unbelievable Blue Cheese Steak and Mash Potatoes May 16, 2010
Montana Avenue is a weird name for a restaurant. A couple of years ago when a date decided to take me to dinner, he simply said "let's go to Montana Avenue". My thought was, we do not have a Montana avenue in Tucson, unless it is a new dedicated road, of which I would have known. He laughed hard and loud when he realized what my thought process was.
Montana Avenue restaurant in Tucson is part of the Fox Chain of fancy restaurants in Tucson. The interior has an open high ceiling with inviting decor. The service team was welcoming, attentive and impressionable. It was not busy given it was a Monday. I was glad that we went when it was not busy, this particular location gets really busy and reservations are needed.
Mark and I split a house salad, which was a garden salad with Italian dressing. For drinks, I ordered a raspberry mojito, while Mark ordered a beer. The menu had a great selection, but it was a lunch menu which did not include the steak for which I came here in the first place. Nonetheless the staff was able to accommodate our request for the steak which was on the dinner menu. Our main meal was a delicious blue cheese stake served with mashed potatoes.
The restaurant is considered middle-upper class and a little on the pricey side.
