Monrovia Vacation Guide
Monrovia is a quaint suburb of Los Angeles very close to Pasadena along the 210. It may be best known as the home to headquarters for World Vision, a religious NGO that has been instrumental in disaster recovery service all over the world.
Not only is it the headquarters for World Vision another famous establishment is headquartered here. Trader Joe's! Well known for their scrumptious food and inexpensive wine's from around the world!
Monrovia is also used frequently for the back drop of many movies. Father of the Bride with Steve Martin was filmed on our infamous Myrtle Avenue.
Myrtle Avenue a wonderful "main-type" street filled with cafes, restaurants and shops and every Friday night you will see their street fair. This is when they close down the street and the merchants sell their food and merchandise outside and theirs a farmers market with fresh produce. During the summer months you can even find car shows and live music! Lots of fun for the entire family!
Not many have heard of Monrovia, but if you drive down the streets you may recognize it from movies or from news reports of bears out in California roaming the foothills and sitting in Jacuzzi's during the summer months.

I'm not sure how these meetups quickly evolved into entire WEEKENDS! Our LA pre-meetup was 19 people at a wonderful Mediterranean food place Joy frequents and is owned by the NICEST people!By our standards, this was a pretty tame night! Only 3 people got minor injuries, retinas were only slightly b…
