Monrovia is a quaint suburb of Los Angeles very close to Pasadena along the 210. It may be best known as the home to headquarters for World Vision, a religious NGO that has been instrumental in disaster recovery service all over the world.

Not only is it the headquarters for World Vision another famous establishment is headquartered here. Trader Joe's! Well known for their scrumptious food and inexpensive wine's from around the world!

Monrovia is also used frequently for the back drop of many movies. Father of the Bride with Steve Martin was filmed on our infamous Myrtle Avenue.

Myrtle Avenue a wonderful "main-type" street filled with cafes, restaurants and shops and every Friday night you will see their street fair. This is when they close down the street and the merchants sell their food and merchandise outside and theirs a farmers market with fresh produce. During the summer months you can even find car shows and live music! Lots of fun for the entire family!

Not many have heard of Monrovia, but if you drive down the streets you may recognize it from movies or from news reports of bears out in California roaming the foothills and sitting in Jacuzzi's during the summer months.

So, true to TB form, we get about 3 hours sleep and are back up downloading photos and laughing at our hysterical antics from the night before.  After about an hour of giggles and playing around, Giovanni emerges from the guest room......*squeals*.....WAKE UP SUNSHINE.  It would appear that no one has a hangover which is rather surprising as evidenced by photos of people under the table.  Jillian, Mel, and I keep playing around with photos while Joy decides to play pool with Gi...

After Joy and Jillian dropped me off my mum’s house in Glendale, I charged up my laptop, my phone and digi camera battery.  I repacked my luggage. I had a a bunch of stuff that I did not bring home.  Geez I think i am taking more stuff home. I hope Melissa doesn’t kill me.   I took a nap before she picked me up. She picked me up at 4pm. we were getting gas then I txted Jillian and Jenn that we are on our way. Then Jillian replied with “here?”, which means jo...

This was a day to celebrate Tracy's "Tre69's" cousin Mar "Maria58" to LA!We had planned for several weeks to have a BBQ at my place and it turned out to be splendid! We had so much fun and I hope Mar enjoyed herself as well. This was an opportunity to meet some of my old friends from High School - Ramona Convent and my new friends the LA "Core" Crew! The meeting was such a success that we can't wait to all get together soon again!Had a fantastic time at the meet-up and I know we'll have anoth...

I'm not sure how these meetups quickly evolved into entire WEEKENDS! Our LA pre-meetup was 19 people at a wonderful Mediterranean food place Joy frequents and is owned by the NICEST people!By our standards, this was a pretty tame night! Only 3 people got minor injuries, retinas were only slightly burned out from the multiple bulbs and 1 or 2 bottles of wine were consumed. By all accounts and measures - an absolute success! I was EXTREMELY looking forward to this meet as we would be joined by ...
