Monkey Paradise! Apr 05, 2015
I love monkey world!!

It's certainly worth a visit if you're down this end of the country.

The monkeys have huge 'cages' (they are so big I don't want to call it a cage but I don't know what else to call it!!!) and are always playing, they are clearly very happy. There's loads of food or toys for them to play with in their 'cages' as well.

There's a play area for children and a cafe, which is on the more expensive side, and a gift shop.

The ticket price to get in is pretty good.

It's very clean and a nice half day out

Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre. Jun 13, 2011
Monkey world assists governments around the world to stop the smuggling of primates from the wild. The rescued primates come here and are rehabilitated into natural living groups. Monkey World is set in 65 acres of land with over 240 primates. And it was set up in 1987 by Jim Cronin.

There are currently 59 chimpanzee's here which makes it the largest group outside of Africa. They have rescued Chimps from all over the world where they have been used in labs, kept as pets and used in shows etc.

For more information on the business check out the website.

I have personally been here afew times and its quite a nice day out. The Primates are well taken care of and seem to be happy in their home. The thing to remember is that they would never survive in the wild, everything they should learn from their mother they can't as most of the time the mothers are killed.
