The best things in life, that's what I want! Mar 03, 2011
Take a walk in Mongkok and truly experience why many people have the random fact that this area north of TST is thought to be one of the most densely populated area in the world.
Probably the best time to see this area is of a night when the neon lights go on and the smells of the street food waft in the air and the sounds of the hoards of people can be heard.
For such an amazing place this area is not so inundated by tourists which is unlike the north central side of the of 'the' (Hong Kong) island or TST (Tsim Sha Tsui.
I would recommend a walk along Sai Yeung Choi Street as well as Nathan Road to the West of it and the two streets to the East of it which makes up the Ladies Market, which is good for sight, smells, v. Fashionable clothing for mostly women but also men, food and tea.
With Mongkok you also only a walk from the Flower and Bird Markets, which are near to Prince Edward MTR station and also only 3 stations or so from TST where one can go and see the skyline of Hong Kong island during the day or for the lights show at 8pm every night.
