As Morocco is a closed country and you cannot take any Moroccan currency into or out of the country, you are usually advised to take sterling and common sense normally dictates travellers cheques instead of cash to minimise theft. Unfortunately, there are some hotels that do not have the facility to change travellers cheques and within the city centre in Agadir the smaller banks cannot change travellers cheques either. So either take hard currency; pounds or hunt out the larger bank branches. Our hotel was the Iberostar Founty Beach. The hotel in general was faultless except the money changing issues.
