My first trip to Tunesia. The hotel is located on a spot wich is not very clean. Indeed in the opposite of the hotel there is an hotel which is abandoned, and therefore in a bad state. There are a lot of dogs walking across the street, and of course cats! A lot of them. The streets are dirty (exept when the president is comming for a visit). The Beach is not spectaculair, in the winter it is dirty. If you like to spend your holliday on the beach, you should not go to this hotel. Then you have to go to the touristic area or place. For example Hammamet, or Skanes. But if you are looking for a cheap hotel which is friendly and you want to make a lot of excursions, this hotel is a good start for your trip. The hotel is not very clean, and the food has no variaty but it is ok! We made an excursion to the sahara for 2 days! Wonderfull! You can book these in the hotel. There are two options, by minivan, or by Jeep! From this place it is easy to go to Kairouan and Sfax. So don't expect a luxury hotel. But monastir is not a super touristic place. I'm very glad that it is not too much touristic. You can take the train to Sousse. Also a nice place to visit.

Don't expect too much from that, the most of the times we are just hanging around, swimming, playing carts, go to the beach, going out and maybe if we have time left…… Tunisia 2007: friends and fun |
