Mon Hue Ho Chi Minh City Reviews
Mon Hue Restaurant Jul 13, 2013
Since this is our last day in Vietnam and we need to catch our late flight out of Vietnam, so we have an early dinner at this restaurant.
The restaurant located at Ben Thanh Market and from outside the building looks nice with air condition and the food pictures looks attractive with traditional Vietnamese food.
As we didn’t go to Hue at this trip, so we thought, why not try the food. So we come inside and check the menu which looks good, some of the menu was very pricey at this place.
We order 4 different types of food here and the food arrive quickly. Unfortunately the taste did not match our expectation of the food.
The pork rice salad with pork cracker (Com Hen) was bland and dry.
The white flour things with salted pork meat and cracker, which we don’t remember the name was good.
The prawn and pork spring rolls with Tamarin was awful. The prawn still has skin on it and has to peel it before able to eat.
Another dish which looks like spring roll mix meat and seafood was okay.
Overall, it was a big disappointment at this restaurant and actually ruin our last day in Vietnam as we have been having good food during our trip.
And when we asked for the bill, it takes ages for the staff to bring it and we lost our patient and calculated the bills ourself using the menu as a guide for the price.
