Mogao Hotel Dunhuang

Hope ratings has not been overevaluated considering the fact that I've beeb staying in hostel and budget hotels for most of my travels. Yes so i need to be picky.

I went during the offpeak season (in Dec) and was charged at a promotional rate of 160rmb/queensize single bed room (similar pricing to their standard twin bed suite too). Could have gone 120rmb for a single bed room, but the room was pretty small. I thought since it's promotion, may as well since it won't hurt that much anyway for that additional comfort.

Thus i generally felt majority of the hotels are pretty expensive during the normal seasons, considering it is a city based on tourism.

I would think this hotel is pretty good enough for a very comfy rest and location is good, just 10mins walk, you can get to the Shazhou market. Anyway, the stretch of road has alot of hotels for you to choose from also, and Dunhuang is really not that huge too.

I was delightful to find ample of sockets around the room. But there was not enough hangers for your clothes,especially during winter.

Oh yes, 10rmb for additional internet access.
