Convenient and Comfortable Sep 15, 1995
We found this hotel to be very nice. Just up from the Gare de Lyon train station, a block from the Seine and three blocks from l'Opera-Bastille. Though on the eastern end of Paris, we walked all the way to the Eiffel Tower. Not for the faint of heart (or sole), but very managable. The hotel itself was very nice, as I said. We had a private bath and toilet, mini bar and TV. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were large enough for two people. Bonus was a nice little grocery across the street on the corner of Rue Charles.

We found a very nice hotel a block from the Gare de Lyon, Modern Hotel Lyon. We threw or stuff down and started a walking tour. We saw most every landmark in Paris: The Left bank, Notre Dame, The Bastille, the gardens, The Louvre, Arc du Triomphe, the Obilisk, and of course… City Of Lights |
