Mémorial de Verdun Reviews
Museum to commemorate the Battle of Verdun Aug 06, 2012
This museum is located near all other sights in the hills by Verdun. It is right by the main road.
The museum has two floors and is built around a large live size model of a battle field. This exhibit is quite impressive since you can view it from both levels as the center piece.
The other exhibits are very informative but some of the displays show only French writing, which is sad for those that don't speak it and still want to know. MOST cases do have English writing.
After a day filled with museums I don't know if it was the large amounts of things I had seen or if it truly was a little pricey for the size of the exhibit. I do understand however that there is a large amount of ground to keep in tact outside this museum and I'm sure that the admission fee covers some of that as well.
Recommended if you have enough time or want to get out of bad weather.
