Mizpe Ramon is a small town with about 4,000 residents in the middle of the desert. In the town itself you can find few accommodation options, and there are few B&B at the farms near the town. The town was found in order to support the workers of the quarries around (no longer actives).
The main rezone to come to Mizpe Ramon is the stoning surrounding.
The town is located at the edge of Makhtesh Ramon, one of the few geological crater in the whole world.
Makhtesh is the Hebrew word for crater but it's also the correct geological term for this kind of craters. The landscape have a dramatically drop of about 450 meters and form a 38 K"m by 6 K"m of the biggest Makhtesh in the world!
You can hike, bike or have jeep trips inside and get yourself familiar with one of the most beautiful piece of creation mother nature ever form!
The area is part of the UNESCO World heritage "Makhteshim Country"
