Mix Travel Reviews

Aug 06, 2007
I recently went to Club Mix and was surprised to hear music you would normally hear in the US, rap, hiphop, some r&b. However the music was repetitive and I probably heard all of Nick Cannon's songs. It cost us around 200 RMB per person to get a seat at a table while paying roughly 2000 RMB for a big bottle of whiskey to drink with red tea and ice. The service was decent. The club is pretty dead before 11 and only a couple people are on the dance floor so I recommend going after 11:30. It gets way too crowded as it gets later. The amount of sweat and stench on the dance floor is comparable to the Great Wall, some people really don't know to use deodorant. I prefer going to the club across the street, "VICS". The music and drinks are a lot better and it isn't as crowded.

A really westernized club located next to an old stadium. The interior is upscale and indistinguishable from a nice club in Los Angeles. There are a few large dancefloors and comfy lounge areas. Seems like a very popular place with both locals and foreigners alike.

I used to come here a lot, before we found a smaller club close to Peking U. where we got chummy with the owners. Next door should have been Vics, which is also popular... Zhang Zhiyi parties here when she's in Beijing!

Eric says: Small Korean bar on the third floor of a shopping mall complex. The patrons here were mainly Korean, but it was a really fun and friendly vibe. It's also not so chaotic, loud, or crowded that you can actually sit down with a group of friends and have a decent conversation while sipping on Soju.
