Mitzpe Ramon Vacation Guide
Mitzpe Ramon is a town of approx. 5500 people located in southern Israel on route 40. It contains a visitor center for the "Ramon Crater" which is 28 miles long and 5 miles wide, and the only one of it's kind in the world. Mitzpe Ramon has recently become popular for jep trekking as well as various forms of ecotourism. It does contain a hotel that has such amenities as an indoor swimming pool.
One can take a bus from Central bus stations to Mitzpe Ramon. Just ask the bus driver for the "Central Viewing Point" for panoramic views of the crater from above.
