Okay, after seeing these videos you will no doubt believe this crew is absolutely insane! It really is hard to explain how we arrived at this, so you will just have to watch the videos...they will explain it better than I can. The first video is the queening ceremony of Mellemel8, aka Queen CW. Melanie had to be properly queened before she could carry out her duties of knighting her round table footmen. The remaining videos are the knighting ceremonies of Sir James (me), Sir Sal, Sir Will, an...

The night that I don’t remember, I was mad at myself that I was yelling at Erin that she took my phone away from me so I could not txt. UGH what a night. I don’t even remember going home.   However, I had a good time in the city of fountains; next to Italy it has ...

When I decided to go to the KC Meet Up, I contacted James and Mark to see if they were aware of any biking activities in the area that might be available to us.  I love to bike and have found that it is a great way to really see a place.  You get a feel for the neighborhoods, the people and really see a lot more of the area.  Not being biking types, James and Mark had no ideas for me.  I turned to trusty old Google, and found an organized ride complete with sag and sweep s...

Today was the final day of this incredible weekend. Everything started early, well for most of the people, since they had to catch early flights back home. James also left early. He drove Will to the airport and he was in his way home. I was so glad I could say good bye to them the night before. During the morning it would have been just impossible. Well, I have to accept I was surprised that 2 of us, didn’t go partying until late the night before in order to be ready for the “Bike ...

The main meet up was at the GRAND FALLON BAR & GRILL, however the highlight as far as food was concerned was the preceding destination before the Grand Fallon bar - The Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue. The food was as extravagant as it was tasty. Now that I'm seating back home in my apartment with no dinner, I remember leaving a whole rib and fries on my plate yesterday, lol!  In the early evening however Mark (travelman727) had surprised us with his band playing great music at the CL...

This weekend found me surrounded by the serene Ozark woods, beautiful Table Rock Lake, and more than 90 zestful teenagers.  Our base, called Camp Heritage, sits on about 300 acres of waterfront property.  Table Rock Lake is a man-made lake with more than 52,000 acres of surface water and 850 miles of shoreline.  It is located in southern Missouri, near Branson, and is the area’s most popular vacation spot. I got a up this morning about 5 AM and finished getting organized for the 7 hour drive to Kansas City for my first TravBuddy MeetUp.  I also needed to get my dog, Martin, and his stuff together, so I could drop him off at my dad's place on the way.  Martin is getting old (almost 15), so he doesn't wake up as quickly as he used to.  A few strategically placed treat within range of his nose eventually helped to expedite matters.  Once he was up, he was actually excited since...

After being on the road as long as we have with very few days where we could just kick back and relax, this morning turned out to be just that. Our hotel serves a nice hot breakfast with fresh made waffles, biscuits and gravy, and even french toast, from 6 a.m. til 10 a.m. but we missed it by more than two hours. Can you believe that? I sure could. I was up around 8, but just couldn’t get anything in gear, so I crashed back into bed and slept til noon. Judy was the same way. In fact, her sl...

It's great to be home although I wish we could travel all the time. I love traveling with my dad. All day, everyday was full of fun and laughs. Yes even when we locked ourselves out of the car. You couldn't ask for a better road trip partner. This was my first road trip and I think it went well. We only really got lost once. Although we felt lost several times ;) My dad and I have always been close and this trip only helped with our relationship. It's amazing how much traveling long distances...
