Just walking around the Mission District in San Francisco you'll see a lot of what most cities have, but you'll also happen upon alley art. My friends and I were trying to find a cafe called Philz Coffee and in the midst of our search saw a wide alley with tons of artwork. It took us nearly 20 minutes just to walk that one block, stopping to look at each work of art and all of its pieces.

I am not too into the club scene so I dont know too much about that but I love the Mission District. Lots of fun laid back bars to hang out at. Go to the Zeitgeist bar and get a Bloody Mary. Right down the street is Elixir which is fun to hang out. Haight Ashbury has some fun bars also. The Toronado has a great beer selection so does Jacks bar by fishermans wharf. Best to check out http://sanfrancisco.citysearch.com/ they have all the inside info.

As I sit here contemplating my upcoming trip, I'm wondering to myself, "why did I think it necessary to arrive a full 2 1/2 hours before my scheduled flight?" I am pretty sure I made it from checking my bags and through security in a whole 15 …cute apartment in the Mission district (and on a much better corner!). To wind down and catch up we grabbed a beer and macaroni and cheese (no joke) at Monk's Kettle and soon afterward headed it home for a good night's sleep.

San Francisco is a pretty small place. Only 7 square miles. But in those 7 miles, there is an amazing diversity of sights and sounds, and some aren't for everyone.
