Mish Mash Hostel Warsaw Reviews

The best asset of this hostel is the location. It is near practically to everything -- restaurants, shops, transportation hubs, tourist spots, and hotels as well. The Warsaw Central Station, the Centrum Metro Station, the Palace of Science and Culture, the Golden Terrace Mall, the Hard Rock Café just to name a few are all ten-minute walk from the Mish Mash Hostel.

The hostel housed in a Renaissance-style building may sound or look old from its façade, but once inside, everything just looks modern. From the furniture to the appliances to wall decorations including the light fixtures in the hallways, (turns off automatically through body detection.)

We stayed in a private room with an attached bathroom/toilet. The latter may not have the full space, but it is clean and tidy.

There is a desk to lay a laptop, or an IPad, etc. On that same table are some complimentary tea, coffee, and sugar. These free items are kept fresh in little cute tin canisters. A small water heating kettle is next to the canisters.

The hostel has a cranny space for shared dining but equipped with a fridge, a microwave and a table or two. The socializing nook is in the corridor and next to the check-in counter.

Our room has a big window and offers views of mostly buildings. :) Still nice than none.

The hostel does not operate in 24 hours. The reception desk closes at 11:00 p.m., then, it turns into a self-check-in system. We arrived past the closing time, but we did get inside without any problem. The code numbers to the door was sent to us via an e-mail message. Surprisingly, the receptionist staff was still around when we entered, so she gave us a little tour before she left. She was friendly and very accommodating.

Safety of their guests is a priority. Even our room have a digital keypad lock system.

The heating system in our room functioned well.

The hostel is on the third floor, but the elevator in the building was a big help. It is not cramped. It looked quite newly refurbished.

Freebies:

Linens, towels, body wash, shampoo, tea bags, coffee, sugar, use of luggage storage, and of Wi-Fi.

We liked our accommodation, and we would stay here again. There is one lacking, though. It is the vibrant atmosphere of a hostel should have. In fact, we did not see any fellow guests at all. Everybody seemed like they prefer to stay in their own private rooms. So, those who expect meeting other travelers, this hostel may not be for them. ~

Holger: I like to add more pictures when I'm writing a hotel review. :) It's not my own room anyways! I meant, it's not my room at home, so it is okay to take pictures of all corners and then post it online! :D Thanks for the smiles and comments!
