Mirota Batik is a shop located at the very end of Malioboro Street in Yogyakarta.
Reasons why it's worth to come there:
1. You can concentrate to see and take picture along Malioboro Street, took some steet vendor's snacks or just to interact with the people there, not distracted to buy some traditional stuffs.
2. No bargain involved, all are price tagged.
3. Wander around a air-con cool with aromatic incence smell
4. Enjoy the live performance of traditional musician playing Javanese songs.
5. You'll be surprised of how many cute and new things you can find in one shop.
6. Allow you to swipe some cards if you are intended to buy a huge-bulky-teak funiture~

Batik and Handicraft Center Dec 06, 2008
It is a highly recommended place for you to shop original Batik, handicraft, souvenirs, etc from Yogyakarta where you don't need to bargain. The price is reasonable with good quality.

It is a big old family-owned shop located at the famous street of Malioboro. Once you get in there, you will feel the warm of Javanese traditional athmosphere, and you will be entertained by traditional Javanese live music. More, you will be get friendly greetings with the staff dressed in traditional Javanese clothes.

You almost can find any souvenirs you need from Yogyakarta to bring home. When you are too lazy or not good in bargaining, it is a highly recommended place for you to shop.
