To see the city of La Paz in 360! Jul 25, 2012
Visited here in May 2010.

When I visited this mirador, there were no foreigner. I was told by a local La Paz person. He taught me to take a taxi, and I paid 20Boliviano for it. It was a tough climb for the taxi, so I will not recommend it by foot or by bike. There is not enough oxygen at 3800M for us to do it that way. If you want to visit, take a taxi.

For people who knows La Paz, like Santiago, the city is like a bowl sits in the valley. If you take a ride out to El Alto, you will only see one side of La Paz and most of the time the view is obstruct by tree or object. To see the full city view of La Paz in 360, you have to visit this Mirador Killi Killi. This mirador sits and raises up in the middle of the city. Other than seeing La Paz, it also the best view for Mt.Illimani. It is very beautiful up there.

While you are up there, be warned that the highest point is an Uniform Training Centre. Please Do Not enter or peep around, just go to the mirador. Also, because the mirador is in the middle and fully expose to sun at 3800M, bring hat, wear long sleeve, bring cover and put on lot of Sun Block lotion.

Last, you actually can walk down all the way to the city centre, only took me 30mins, not far and nice walk. Some Chinese food stores on the way, can stop for lunch.
