Minimaxi London Reviews
Minimaxi Apr 11, 2011
Minimaxi is a Chinese and Malaysian restaurant near Marble Arch tube. I really
enjoyed my meal there.
I found it by accident walking around the streets to the north of Hyde park, trying to find somewhere that was neither too expensive not too touristy, and was very relieved to find it. Obviously aiming itself away from the traditional Chinese restaurant market, it has dark, calm décor and comfortable seats and a much shorter menu than many Chinese restaurants. There is a strong Malaysian influence on the menu, too.
The food was excellent. I had a sort of red, very spicy Malaysian chicken dish and it was perfect. There are free nibbles on the table whilst you wait to be served. The staff were friendly and the service was great. I was also fed very quickly, which I wasn’t expecting on a quiet Monday night
