Mini Siam Sep 13, 2009
If you have plenty of time to travel around Thailand, I recommend you go to each province to see the real one but if you don't have time or just want to have some fun with a one-day trip, try this place. Maybe you like it.

Mini Siam is re-creation of many of Thailand's major tourist attraction with the proportion 1:25. That's why they called MINI.

From the copies of The Grand Palace, the Victoria Monument, the Democracy Monument, the historical park of Ayuttaya, Phanomrung, Anantasmakom Hall (The Marble Throne Hall, Rama IX cable-stayed bridge in Bangkok, etc. to the Mini Europe like Eiffel Tower (France), Trevi Fountain (Italy), Catherdral group of Pisa (Italy), Tower Bridge (England) and from other continents like The opera house (Australia), the Statue of Liberty (USA), T'ien-T'an Altar of Heaven (China), Angor Wat (Cambodia), Abusimbel (Egypt), Colosseum (Italy)

Only a few hours from Bangkok to Mini Siam. And only a few hours to make a tour around this place. There are drinks, snacks and souvenirs shops inside with the double price but it's ok if you really want to buy them. It's open from 7am-10pm. For me I think in the evening you'll be impressive with this place than during the day but there will be a lot of tourists also.

The ticket in the website are:
Thai 150THB
Foreigner 250THB

But when I was there, I paid only 100THB. So I'm not sure the fix price - how much maybe it was cheap as I went there on weekday not weekend.

How to go.
* By car - look at the map in the website

* By van - Take a van at victoria Monument. Ask them to get the Pattaya Van and tell them to stop at Mini Siam (it's about 2hours) and 150THB per seat

* By Bus - Take the bus at Eastern Terminal on Sukhumwit Road (Ake-kamai Area). Bangkok-Pattaya bus.

Have fun!

Minisiam (the detail is in the link to my Mini Siam's review) is another place that I like, Jane likes it too. There are mini Siam and Mini Europe in there. It's the re-creation with the propotion 1:25. For those who like art, I think you'll like it here… Around the world in a few hours
