Mine # 56 @ Mineral de Pozos San Miguel de Allende Reviews
Once in life time experience Jul 16, 2011
Mineral de Pozos is a small town located 60 KMs from San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. This town is famous for its Silver mines. Not a tourist place with guided tours, but if you wanna take risk getting into a nice trek and then an abandoned mine this is the place.
This place entrance looks like old fort. Seems some musical video shoots will happen here. The security guard at the gate of this place took us to the mine. No head gears nor lights inside the mine. Only a small torch and the experience of the guard lead us inside mine. Risky but once in life time experience.
Treked a bit in the mineral rocky mountain to reach the entrance of the mine. Got into the mine with only a torch with the guard. Never thought that risky until I looked back from the middle of the mine. Entrance wa snot seen and only light is from a small torch. This mine has a well with water too. Only pics I have attached here will tell more.
Overall once in lifetime experience.. Risk taken is worth for the experience.
