Amazing archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic, closer to Senegal than to Central America.
*
Mixture of everything (colonial Portugal, South America, Africa, the Caribbean), placed in what was once a 'green (verde) paradise'.
*
Of the ten islands, only one is still superbly green, the others resembling a lunar landscape.
*
Dark volcanic rocks, scarlet sands, golden beaches, dry winds, bearable heat, few tourists - a lovely place to see!

So here it is I've just got back from my trip at sea. I was in a commercial fishing vessel working as a marine biologist, so I collected lots of data on swordfish fishing and tested new fishing gear.
