Minca Ecohabs Reviews
Minca Ecohabs Great escape at the sierra nevada region Dec 02, 2012
If you are planning on visiting Colombia but you don't have enough time to visit the coffee region (eje cafetero) I would encourage you to visit a region in Colombia called. Minca.
Minca is located in the sierra nevada region close to Santa Marta and Cartagena. This region is high in the mountains but also close to the ocean. In my opinion, the best scenery combination (mountains and beach)
These ecohabs are basically the equivalent to 5 star accommodations in the jungle. When I say jungle I mean you are not close to a big city or anything like that. You are close to a village and that's about it. Minca is roughly 45 minutes away from Santa Marta. The nice thing about Minca is that because of its location, you can visit organic coffee farms, waterfalls, and daily hikes.
The owner of these ecohabs is Adriana Molina. She is super friendly, and will make the sure you have everything you need. When I visited the ecohabs (January 2012) they only had 6 cabins so the atmosphere is very intimate. It is kind of like staying in a bed and breakfast in a remote location with really neat day trips.
