Mina Fish Market Abu Dhabi Reviews
Somethings a little Fishy.... Mar 11, 2010
Ever have the urge to see lots of exotic fish, and even purchase a few for your own enjoyment? Then head to the abu dhabi fish market.
The abu dhabi fish market is really the only place in abu dhabi that fits into the classical image of the middle east. Chaos, vendors, locals, stuff flying everywhere, its really paradise for a seagull.
The fishmarket is essentially 30 or 40 stalls selling fresh fish. You can also buy spices and what not. The fish are butchered on site free of charge.
Do: Talk with locals, this is a great place to strike up a conversation and I got invited home to consume some fish :) .... with this guy and his three wives :)
Buy some fish, if you have a kitchen you will be satisfied.
Head outside and look for boats bringing in fresh fair.
Get some coconut water! Only 5 dirhams (hamza!)
Don't: Use the toilet!
Go anywhere near the garbage cans... think 100 degree sun combined with used toilet paper and dead rotton fish..... sounds like the description of some really cheap cigars actually!
