another my favorite restaurant in Little Italy May 20, 2013
Mimmo's does look like a small Italian Village inside. Surprisingly, it's very spacious inside. The inside of the restaurant is made up of two main dining areas with three smaller rooms for private tables. Each individual area is unique with different decor and vibe. The main entrance and main rooms are surrounded by walls that are decorated to appear as though they are the outsides of small Italian style apartments. It makes to feel like you are in Italy. You can also sit outside on the patio to people watch.

The complimentary bread and olive oil with herbs served before the meal was very tasty.

The Cheese Ravioli with Alfredo souce was delicious. Angel hair with chicken in marinara souce was great.

Great food and wine selection. Chianti Ruffino Aziano 9 $ per glass. The waiters are really nice.

Mimmo's is definitely a fun and relaxing place to eat.

Your spelling of 'sauce' brings a smile to my face. 'souce' is just how my babushka would say and spell it. Have a great week Inna!

Nice lunch in the Heart of Littly Italy Mar 25, 2010
A moderately priced restaurant in the community of Little Italy in San Diego. You can spend a nice afternoon here in the area but make sure to get something to eat at one of the many restaurants.

I like Mimmos. This restaurant is on India St. on the 1700 block. When in the area I like to stop in for lunch at Mimmos. They also have several "Stop n' Go" shops with ready made sandwiches especially for the lunch crowd and the budget minded. At the main spot the prices are a little higher but your sandwich is freshly made and more to choose from.

I was a little disappointed when I ordered an old favorite, Pastrami w/Feta Cheese. Perhaps because of economical times they have cut back considerably in the amount of ingredients. I remember this sandwich to be heartier and the prices went up some.

However they still have the pasta/salad deal which is very good. You get 4 items of your choice in the display for under $7 USD. Lots to eat, great choices and enough for two. They also have daily lunch specials often times under $7 too. I have never been here for dinner.
