Milos Overview

Milos is the island which became famous for the Aphrodite or Venus of Milos and also for its 74 beaches. This island, thanks to its volcanic origin is known for its unique landscapes with colourful rocks and caves like the bay of Kleftiko, its beauty and architecture with the white little houses with blue windows which characterises all the cyclades.

Milos is one of the 147 islands in aegean forming the cyclades. The island lies halfway between Athens and Crete and is close to Sifnos, Santorini and Folegandros.

The capital of the island is Plaka which is builread mored in a height of 200 metres aboe sea level. From Plaka you can also go the Castle from where you can see the whole island and even the nearby islands.

Milos Island can be reached by plane from Athens or by ferries from the port of Piraeus on a daily basis.
