Located only a few blocks away from the entrance to the Vatican Museum, this place serves up some of the better gelato in Rome. It was one of my favorite haunts when I stayed in Rome and I would often go there multiple times a day. It's only $1.50 or so for two generous scoops of gelato and it's open late. I forget the name, but they also serve a bread-type thing with gelato inside. It doesn't sound like a tempting combination, but it actually tastes quite good. There is plenty of outdoor seating on the provided chairs or on the nearby stairs. Come here if you want a less touristy, peaceful place to enjoy gelato on a sunny day.Surprisingly, I don't think I took any pictures of this place while I was in Rome! Anyone else from Rome want to upload another review and add some pictures? :)
